2010 brings new lines, fresh designs from our favorites, and great finds from across the world.
Here's a glimpse of a few ...
jan barboglio
The skill of any artist is to create something that does not appear to be the sum of it's parts. The Jan Barboglio Collection incorporates art and design with spectacular results. The designs are inspired by vivid memories of her formative years on the rugged ranches of her native Mexico. Every piece is individually hand cast or wrought, hammered, sanded and hand-finished one at a time, in the same manner that was employed in times past.
maiwa
Clothing at Maiwa is more than an attempt to dress the senses in colorful history and pattern...it is a powerful means of social change. Maiwa works directly with village craftspeople in southern and middle India to create viable livelihoods, sustain the human involvement, and nurture centuries of traditional knowledge. Infused with beautiful detail and produced in environmentally sound ways, simply put, Maiwa is clothing with soul.
180-design
Eco-inspired designs by Tammy Roy start with what most of us would think of as “hardware, metal scraps ... basically a pile of junk”. With a background in graphic design and an obsession with re-use, Tammy started designing and creating her works from reclaimed metal found at scrap yards in her native Wisconsin and never stopped. We believe the results are absolutely artful!
nova
Since their earliest beginnings in 1923, NOVA brings original and innovative design to casual and contemporary lighting.
